This fabulous producer is the house label for Berry Brothers, Londons oldest and most respected Wine Merchant. --- Montagny 1er Cru, Château de la Saule 2006 Côte Chalonnaise, Burgundy, France Château de la Saule is the most prestigious producer in this area of Burgundy and has been in the Roy family since 1805. A truly delicious Chardonnay which has minimal oak contact and is derived exclusively from premier cru vineyards. --- Givry 1er Cru Clos Jus, Domaine Chofflet Valdinaire 2005 Côte Chalonnaise, Burgundy, France Wonderful Pinot Noir from the Clos Jus vineyard near the town of Givry. For five generations the Chofflet family have produced wine from this tiny 12 acre site. 33% of the wine is aged in oak and the wines produced have been likened to young Gevreys from the Côte de Beaune. --- Gigondas, Domaine du Grand Montmiral 2000 Rhône Valley, France This generous full-bodied red features a blend of Grenache and Syrah from the stellar 2000 vintage.
